  1. I am definitely motivated by the way running and exercising makes me feel and also look. It is ok to take pride in your accomplishments!

    1. Renée says:

I think we’d all by lying if we said we weren’t motivated somewhat by how it makes us look! absolutely agree!

  2. I like stats, too. I’m motivated to run and exercise because it makes me feel good, gives me time to connect with friends and to get fresh air!

    1. Renée says:

      agree with all of this!

  3. Jenny says:

Ha ha… I don’t want to do a 5 minute plank either! I agree, a challenge has to be realistic and something YOU really want. Planning big races is a huge motivator- I have one in April and it definitely keeps me working hard!

    1. Renée says:

I really question people who WANT to do a 5 min plank LOL!

  4. Darlene S. Cardillo says:

I feel that same about working out. why?

And yes I think races are very motivating.

And people such as friends and bloggers are very motivating

    1. Renée says:

I do like to work out though I have to say, but I’ve been so out of that rhythm that I need to feel like I WANT to again. If you don’t WANT to, there’s really no point, right. Totally agree with you as well!

  5. Michelle says:

I hear you on the “realistic challenges”! – No way I’m signing on for the 5-minute plank LOL

I do find race really motivating – always good to have a target to aim for!

    1. Renée says:

Yeah I’m so done with challenges that make no sense to ME. I will cheer people on all the way if that’s their thing though!

  6. I like stats too. I wear my Garmin on every run so I can check out how I did and compare it to a previous run. I like to see how I am improving and that will get me excited for my next run.

    1. Renée says:

I was bummed when I checked my sleep stats recently and realised there were none there! not sure what happened, maybe I turned off that option??

  7. Jenn says:

I love making plans too! It’s so fun!

I’m doing that January challenge with you but I keep forgetting to log my activity! Don’t worry! It’s getting done!

    1. Renée says:

I am so happy you joined the challenge Jenn!
