The Dietitian, The Scale and Two Races

21 September, 2010 RenéeBody, Exercise, Fun Stuff7 Comments on The Dietitian, The Scale and Two Races

Ugh. It’s been so difficult time-wise to put together my thoughts on several different areas right now. There are only 24 hours in a day and I have to use them wisely. Sometimes that means putting the blogs on the…

Motivation, that fickle Friend

What motivates you? To do anything really? I have a few motivators in my life. I’m motivated to get out of the bed (albeit reluctantly at times) on weekdays to go to work. I do this because I have bills…

ProPoints, I’m done with you!

13 September, 2010 RenéeMind, Self12 Comments on ProPoints, I’m done with you!

As of right now, I am no longer following Weight Watchers ProPoints. I’ve had enough. I am still using the program to give me guidelines on serving sizes and what ranks higher in nutritional value. But I’m done counting. I’m…

Now for something less serious

It’s August. I’ve got Plans.

1 August, 20101 August, 2010 RenéeBody, Mind5 Comments on It’s August. I’ve got Plans.

In the recent past I’ve attempted making weekly goals, which sometimes work out and sometimes don’t. A lot of bloggers make monthly goals, which include health and fitness AND just regular life related goals. I like this concept a lot.…

(written from the Beach in Stalida, Crete) At the beginning of each year, we are blasted with suggestions to “lose weight” and “get fit” because of course we have to look good for Valentine’s Day or Spring Break. Then around…

Just a little eye candy

I never did show you guys the running skirt I bought a while back. I do love it, but I have to say, it’s too big! A luxury problem, I know. The first skirt I bought from www.runningskirts.com was in…

What to do when your head space is freed up to enjoy each moment

17 June, 2010 Pinky @lowfatpieMind7 Comments on What to do when your head space is freed up to enjoy each moment

I’ve been thinking over the past few days about how I can really make a proper schedule for myself and how to actually execute it. My “dietitian”, Hubs and my coach all mentioned that to really have a life –…

Running on Strava – Let’s connect!

Fresh out of the oven, or crusty old pie, you choose:

Team Pie

Hey! I’m Renée, 55 years old; I started running just to lose some weight and in the meantime found out that running changes pretty much everything. My favorite running partner, Ron (56), started running just to support me, but he found out he actually had a talent for it and consequently has run over 28 marathons in the span of 6 years with  3 of them being World Majors.

This blog is about running, fitness, mental health, travel and, though I am trying to get out of diet mentality, I may still talk about weight/ weight loss.   Sometimes a combination of all, sometimes not. And not always in that order.

Running and fitness keep me sane, travel is my passion. We live in the Netherlands – Mr Pie is Dutch and I am American and Dutch, now living here over half of my life.

Contact Me

I love to comments and hearing from people regarding pretty much anything, so please feel free to contact me at any time! I'm not a professional by any means, but I love to share stories, tips and tricks, commiserations, celebrations and of course a good slice of pie (if you've got one on offer)
