Wednesday Weigh-In Week#2

16 May, 2018 RenéeWeight Watchers17 Comments on Wednesday Weigh-In Week#2

Admittedly I didn’t track as much this week.  I find it very hard when I’m not at home and not eating my own planned out home-cooked meals.  The Weight Watchers app, for example, doesn’t tell you how many points a…

Wednesday Weigh-In — Week #1

9 May, 2018 RenéeWeight Watchers18 Comments on Wednesday Weigh-In — Week #1

I have been yammering on for months (years?) about how I need to get my ish together and drop the weight I gained after my foot surgery and last marathon (November 2016). For some reason I am able to…

September: That’s a Wrap!

1 October, 20121 October, 2012 RenéeFun Stuff, Just Life10 Comments on September: That’s a Wrap!

79.2 KG That’s what the scale told me this morning. My first thought was to curse at it or throw it out the window but it only took a couple of seconds to come back to reality. You see, I…

Numbers and Stuff

5 June, 2011 RenéeBody, Exercise, Fun Stuff13 Comments on Numbers and Stuff

As a self-proclaimed hater of calorie counting, I have to admit I’m kind of enjoying this new challenge. That’s how I see it, as a challenge. To see all the numbers, not just the Weight Watcher ProPoints, has been kind…

More Running, less Whinging.

2 January, 2011 RenéeBody, Mind, Self, Weight Watchers16 Comments on More Running, less Whinging.

Every new year I imagine myself as one of those people who come up with brilliant goals and resolutions and every year I pretty much come up with not-a-whole-lot. In 2010 I lost exactly 1 kilogram of weight, which was…

28 November, 2010 RenéeBody, Mind, Self, Weight Watchers17 Comments on Learn Something? Like What?

Why is it that every single time things just get TOO TOO much, I go for sweets and junk? . Seriously. You would think after SO MANY YEARS of doing this, I would get a real handle on things. Like,…

Running on Strava – Let’s connect!

Fresh out of the oven, or crusty old pie, you choose:

Team Pie

Hey! I’m Renée, 55 years old; I started running just to lose some weight and in the meantime found out that running changes pretty much everything. My favorite running partner, Ron (56), started running just to support me, but he found out he actually had a talent for it and consequently has run over 28 marathons in the span of 6 years with  3 of them being World Majors.

This blog is about running, fitness, mental health, travel and, though I am trying to get out of diet mentality, I may still talk about weight/ weight loss.   Sometimes a combination of all, sometimes not. And not always in that order.

Running and fitness keep me sane, travel is my passion. We live in the Netherlands – Mr Pie is Dutch and I am American and Dutch, now living here over half of my life.

Contact Me

I love to comments and hearing from people regarding pretty much anything, so please feel free to contact me at any time! I'm not a professional by any means, but I love to share stories, tips and tricks, commiserations, celebrations and of course a good slice of pie (if you've got one on offer)
